my series summery

For my whole series I went with a coupe  of themes and the last one was a big one. I did 3 drawings and for the last one so it helped people get my point I asked some people to help and color 1 of the 2 templates I did.

In the third one Asked and answered one huge question "Who Is The true Artist?" I gave a good answer to both of the answers that are for that question.

For all my drawings I did I proved that even a bunch of random lines on a simple piece of paper can be art.

  1. Billy, this has been such an interesting experience. Who would have thought that we could have a participatory activity with "simple" line drawings?? So great. I'm really proud of you for pushing your abilities and being open to experimenting with this.
My friend Jessica works at the Museum of Modern Art, and shared the work of Martin Kippenberger with Nip-Rock students a few years ago (https://twitter.com/jbaldenhofer/status/598538311439929344 )
See the blog post here: https://northernartteacher.wordpress.com/2012/05/15/a-visitor-from-new-york/
If I can, I'll try to find other artists who do this type of work & we can chat about it.

  2. A few weeks ago, I shared your work with some other art teachers, and they recommended some artists for you to look at. The first is Arturo Herrera: http://www.pbs.org/art21/artists/arturo-herrera
and the second is Sol LeWitt: http://www.metmuseum.org/exhibitions/listings/2014/sol-lewitt
We should explore their work together ~ maybe our class can find the connections between your work and these artists.
